Teddy's Story

\*\*REDUCED ADOPTION FEE\*\* Teddy is our great big cuddle bear who is looking for his new home! 🐻 He is a British born boy who has come from on leaps and bounds in the six months he has been in foster. He is a lovely boy that thinks life is one big playground. He would play all day with his toys or a ball so you must have a strong throwing/tugging arm! He is very busy and active but despite his strong working drive, he does well with a good routine and structured downtime/enforced naps. He can be quite strong on the lead but has improved quite a bit with training. He has also improved a lot with reactivity towards many things (bikes, dogs, people) but will still react now if another dog barks at him first or surprises him. He has been an absolute joy to train, in part due to his high intelligence. Most of the time he is a very good dog but he can be very vocal about what he needs or wants. He especially likes to sing right before dinner time (just so he makes sure we never forget the important things). He needs an experienced home to help continue his training as he is a strong dog and can pull pretty hard if he wants to. Additionally, he can be unsure of new people and act intimidating upon the first meeting. But, as soon as you give him his first gravy bone, he will be your best friend forever. He is a very patient dog and pokes up with a lot of annoyance and inconveniences, most things don't even faze him! You can bathe him, trim his nails, you can brush his teeth you can clean his ears, he goes in the boot no problem and he is fully house trained, he's very steady minded in a lot of ways. He does love nothing more than play and affection and in the right active and experienced home we know he would thrive and be very happy. He has a big heart, lot of love, and a few slobbery kisses waiting for the right family!
